Objectives of the Conference

To envisage the importance of Environmental education and to continue with its tradition of interchanging ideas for recognizing and responding to major environmental challenges, the Indian Environmental Society is organizing the National Annual Conference on Environmental Education (NACEE) during July 6 – 8, 2006 at Bangalore. In the process of continuously changing social and technological landscape, environmental education must always stay relevant to the needs and interests of the community. Thus this conference will help environmental educators to come up with new knowledge, techniques and solutions that can address the demands of the constantly evolving rural and urban scenario throughout the world.

The Conference will provide an insight to the latest developments in the field of environmental education. The conference would be helpful in making the society aware, conscious and informed about the global environmental issues.
