The conference is expected to achieve the following outcomes:

• Sensitizing the members of the society about the global environmental issues from a local, national and international point of view.
• Enhancing the involvement of voluntary organizations, social activist groups, individuals and community at large in practicing environmentally benign development processes.
• Developing a set of values and feelings of concern for the environment and motivating the society for actively participating in protection and conservation of the environment.
• Encouraging people to build up the integrated and action-oriented Environmental Education Programmes.
• Formulating effective guidelines and criteria on Environmental Education at the national, regional, and global levels to check the status of the success that has been made as the follow-up of the environmental programmes/activities after 30 years of Tbilisi Conference.
